[un]familiar is a not-for-profit festival—created by friends, for friends. Every detail is shaped with care by a community of people who believe in building something meaningful together.

Volunteers are at the heart of this experience. 

Before purchasing a volunteer ticket, it’s important that you read the following:

What to expect

As a volunteer, you will have the great opportunity to contribute to an amazing festival experience with an incredible crew.

By purchasing this ticket, you agree to support the festival according to the following guidelines. 

• 6-8 hours in 2 shifts of 3-4 hours each.
• Shifts will take place during or after the festival on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
• Shifts may also occur late at very late/early hours (e.g. 2:00–5:00 in the morning).
• Depending on where help is needed, you might support with bar service, check-in and welcome desk, helping with decoration, supporting our awareness team or helping with teardown after the event
• You agree to arrive at the castle before 12:00 PM noon on Friday for our volunteer briefing.

What you receive

• A discounted festival ticket
• Free transportation with our shuttle bus to and from the castle
• The opportunity to connect with an incredible crew and contribute in a meaningful way
• You’ll receive detailed info about your role and schedule 6–8 weeks before the festival

How to become a volunteer
